23 Dec 2010 - Wazzup: News From A Rural City

Hi guys, sorry for another late posting today. I’m travelling right now to a rural part of my city for the Christmas, and the trip there has been like watching the dry paint on my wall. Anyway, here’s what happened in the industry the last day.

SureFireSurf has been under a heavy DDos attack for the past day, which explained the site’s unexpected downtimes. Regardless of having a “stronger firewall installed”, as Chris claimed the other day, the site still could not mitigate the attacks on time.

As such, Chris had decided to move the server to a more powerful, dedicated server. Much of this will be taking place offline, so once the server has been set up, Chris and his service provider will probably take the site offline in order to execute the change. He noted that the downtime will be minimal, and instructions will be on the site when the migration is implemented.

Edit: The migration has been completed, yet there appears to be some problems on the site right now. Quite a few members complaint about not being able to access the site, and Chris has already addressed the problem in his latest newsletter. I’m one of the few who are having problems accessing the site. Chris’ advice: skip the www prefix in the URL, and try it again. I’m unsure what’s the rationale behind this, but let’s see whether that works for you.

SynergyMoney continues with its 12-day Christmas promotion with apparent vigor. The site has already announced its 5th winner from the Christmas contest. There will be 7 more winners, and the admin urges investors to join as there will be 2 winners daily, and you could be the lucky one to win more than once!

The rules are simple: Post something you like about SynergyMoney or something creative, like a poem, for SynergyMoney on MMG. And that’s how you join!
(One idea: try thinking about visual appeals)

Seemed like LibertyReserve was undergoing schedule maintenance, and some sites were affected by the change. One of them is TopArb, which has been performing quite well under the radar. I remind you that TopArb is an arbitrage-betting site, which had, or has, been a rather popular concept amongst HYIPs.

The payouts were slightly delayed due the maintenance, and the admin has already resumed withdrawals as of this writing. Nothing particularly frustrating on my end, so there’s no need to worry about flags as I don’t see any from this incident.

RussianOilFund has announced their latest plan that is highly exclusive, and only reserved for the biggest investors. It is called Executive Client Plan.
The plan is currently available to clients who have either invested large amounts with RussianOilFund, or are planning to do so. The minimum to join this plan is $3500, and there’s no maximum cap.

Anyone with $3500 to spend would probably choose to invest somewhere else, (stocks maybe?) but the admin imagines that the exclusive benefits might entice the investors. The benefits are: a personal representative, a private telephone number for Executive Client Relations, a permanent 3% deposit bonus, a one-time withdrawal of $100 bonus, and a monthly Executive Clients newsletter.
That’s all nice and dandy, but the question is: are those benefits worth your $3500? I mean you will still be paid a hefty return for your investment, but none of the benefits really stand out for me. I would not feel really compelled to join because of those benefits.

In fact, I smell something here.

Not particularly alarming, but I would choose to withdraw my money if I were you.
Simply because it’s the time of the year, and oil might be running out for them.

That’s it for today folks! Thanks for reading!:)
