6 Dec 2010: Russian Oil Fund Review

Bonjour! Welcome back to another review! Today's review revolves around RussianOilFund, which was launched about 2 months ago. This site claims to be involved in the ever-lucrative field of oil, and that somehow reminds me of various other programs in the past that claimed to be in the same industry as well. Hmm, I guess it must be pretty much a barrier-free industry then huh? Lols..Quite a contrary to what I heard about oil fields, which I thought was only reserved for the big boys.

But anyway, here's a look at the home page along with some of the features offered:

Payment Plans

Payment plans
There are currently 4 plans being offered right now, and all plans run for 90 calendar days, though payments are only made on business days. Note that this means Monday - Friday, and in about 13 weeks, you should have 66 payment days.

Compounding is not offered, but you can re-deposit from your account balance though. This means if you have at least $10 in your account balance, then you can purchase the 1st plan from your account balance. Hence, you won't need to pull out your funds before you could make another deposit.

The first plan is open to deposits starting from a $10 minimum up to a $1,999 maximum. It's definitely the most affordable, and also perhaps the only plan investors would really look at. Interest payments are credited at 2% per business day. That amounts to 10% per week, which should see you breaking even at about the 10th week, considering the fact that you don't get your principal back until after 90 days.

The next plan up starts with a minimum deposit of $2000. The investment term lasts 90 calendar days as well with payments made on business days only (Monday - Friday). The profit rises up to 2.3% daily which will add up to 151.8% in total at the end. Maximum spend is capped at $3,499.

If you’re prepared to spend between $3,500 and $4,999 the RussianOilFund offers you a daily interest payment of 2.6% from Monday to Friday. A net profit of 171.6% if you manage to complete the entire cycle, with your principal returned upon expiry.

And finally for deposits upwards of $5,000, you can earn a maximum rate of 2.9% per business day, paid over the course of 90 calendar days. This one offers the highest net return, a whopping 191.4% over the course of 90 days! Not to mention your principal is returned upon expiry as well.

Payment options

LibertyReserve and PerfectMoney are the only 2 payment processors accepted here, and that's quite a disappointment for me. Note that LR and PM do not offer chargebacks, and that all transactions are final. Therefore, in any case, the ones to bear the brunt when a program collapses would be those who invested with LR and PM. It doesn't matter when those sites claim that they're being attacked by Ddos or anything, because they would always have the peace of mind knowing that the money's already in their pockets.

Design and Hosting

RussianOilFund is running off a licensed GoldCoders script, hosted on a dedicated server with protection and support by BlackLotus, which is one of the old-timers in the industry.

They also have SSL encryption for safer online environment. But please know that this does not, in any way, mean that the program is a legitimate business. SSL-encryption can be purchased for cheap, and any site without any form of credibility can get one.

For contact and support, you can get in touch with the administration by filling out the support form on the contacts page. There is also a Live Chat feature installed.

Besides, RussianOilFund also has accounts at FaceBook and Twitter, the world's biggest social networking sites.

Overall

I'm pretty happy with the site, which offers a somewhat high return with a good hosting and licensed script. However, there's nothing particularly outstanding about them, so I would be cautiously optimistic when I approach such a program. Note that it's been 2 months since the program launched, and while payouts are not instant (yet), I hope that they will continue to improve and that things will look better in the coming months.

That's all for today folks! See you soon!
:)
