4 Dec 2010: TopArb Review

Hi guys! As promised, today's the review day for TopArb, an sport-arbitrage betting site that has been online for quite a while now. The term "sports arbitrage" has become a household name because of its profitability and the unique way that it works. The name "TopArb", I suppose, means Top Arbitrage, and, well, so far the site's performing pretty well, so I guess it does live up to its name. Here's a closer view at the program:

Payment Plans

Primarily, I think TopArbs has set itself up in a very unique position, where it has several plans all laid out, but only Plan A is available right now. This allows members to do their own planning, and in the event that TopArb lays out a new plan, investors have the freedom to choose what they want to do next.

There are 4 plans, but only 1 available right now, which is Plan A. Take a look here:

Payment plans

As you can see, Plan A offers a total of 9.4% per week for 24 weeks. The profits are calculated for each calendar day, including business days of course Your principal is already taken into account here, so net profit will be 125.6% -- a pretty decent return over a course of 6 months. That's a net profit of 21% per month, or 5 - 6% per week. Note that the payouts are now done daily, despite the fact that it says "Weekly profit".

Here's how it works: When the plan was first announced, the admin was paying weekly profits. However, in response to investors' request, the admin has decided to change it to a daily plan. The admin splits the 9.4% profit into 7 days, so each day you'll receive around 1.4% directly into your account.

The admin plans to announce new payment plans slowly, and that, I think, is a great way of keeping the program sustainable and keeping investors glued to the program. We'll see how this works for TopArbs in the long run then..

Hosting

In terms of hosting, I'm very impressed to find Dragonara, one of the best in the industry, is keeping this program online. For sometime back in the days, Dragonara was reserved for top-tier programs that could afford the expensive hosting fees. Even today, some investors associate Dragonara with the best programs in the industry, so I wouldn't be surprised to find one or two old-timers who would jump on this bandwagon just because of Dragonara's seal of approval.

SSL-encryption appears to be available as well, and it's provided by GeoTrust. Note that SSL-encryption provides for a more secured transaction environment, and does not provide any more than that. Some investors have misunderstood the actual function of SSL-encryption, sometimes misinterpreting it as a sign of a legitimate company.

Yes, there are many companies (such as Amazon and WalMart) that utilize SSL-encryption on their sites, but when we're looking at the HYIP industry, those signs simply mean the admins spent a little more money (like $100 or so) to display that seal on their page. Not something I'd particularly be concerned about as any site can install one of those widgets.

It's a nifty tool at best, and nothing more.

Design and Script

Another impressive feature about TopArbs is the fact that it uses a customized script and design. I've not seen the script before, and I believe this particular feature will attract many investors.

Take a look for yourself:

As you can see, the account itself has various functionalities to it. You can check out messages from the administration (which sends out a daily message when your profit is credited), withdraw, deposit, check out your referrals etc..

There's also a questionnaire which the admin included a few weeks ago. We can see that the admin tries hard to impress the investors, as he's asking some questions that really seek some constructive criticisms from the investors.

If anything, that's a highly passionate admin.

Payment options

TopArbs initially started with only LibertyReserve and PerfectMoney. However, high demands from the investors encouraged the admin to add GlobalDigitalPay as the latest payment option.

I'm pretty disappointed in this aspect, because many investors have made the switch to AlertPay. And while LibertyReserve still remains the top most commonly used payment processor in the industry, TopArbs will definitely suffer from not offering the likes of AlertPay and SolidTrustPay.

I will keep pressuring the admin to accept AlertPay, and if he does open that flexibility to investors, I suspect TopArbs will take off from then on.

Overall

I'm very impressed with this site actually. With a carefully planned out payment plans, good hosting and customized design, TopArbs has, perhaps, what it takes to be the next big thing. The admin is highly passionate about his work, and I see that the site is slowly, but surely, growing a following in the industry. Whether or not it'll turn out to be the next big Giant in the market still remains to be seen, but it'll definitely benefit a lot from investors' support.

Until then, see you guys!:)
