27 Nov 2010 - AvatarSurf Review

Hi guys! After Avatar's successful foray into the silver screen, it's now making waves in the autosurf industry as well! (Although I'd like to clarify that AvatarSurf is a manual surf, instead of an autosurf)

Some of you may ask, "What's a manual surf? And what's the difference?" Well, the differences are fairly subtle, and you can read on to find out more.

AvatarSurf

Today's main character is AvatarSurf, which uses the actual images from the Academy-award winning movie Avatar. Does this program have anything to do with the movie, you ask? The answer is a resounding no, (much to my disappointment :p) but the admin does offer something genuine here if you ask me.

Home Page

On the main page, the admin introduces himself as John Williams, and claims that he used to be a regular investor just like you and me as well. However, with a touch of serendipity, he's now back in the industry armed with the experience of being in the industry, ready to take on the world! (in that sense, AvatarSurf is, indeed, similar to the movie)

Plans: Daily and Expiry

A close look at the plans offered might be a real attention-getter: there are only 2 plans, albeit highly lucrative, plans offered here.

  • 11% daily for 11 days with daily withdrawal
  • Net profit: 21% in 11 days
  • 12% daily for 12 days with withdrawal upon expiry
  • Net profit: 44% after 12 days
Both plans require a minimum of $5 to get started and max out at $5,000. Note that the primary difference between the two plans, besides the return percentage, is the withdrawal period. The 11%-for-11-days plan pays daily, whereas the other pays upon expiry.

Personally, I would be inclined to join the daily plan as it offers lower risks, and the return percentage is highly lucrative. For those with a more adventurous inclination, they should try out the expiry plan as it offers a higher return (double of the daily plan).

Hosting: Koddos France

AvatarSurf is hosted on the trusted Koddos, which was often overlooked in the past. However, along the progression of time, the hosting company slowly gained notoriety in the industry, slowly, but surely, establishing itself as one of the household names in the industry.

AvatarSurf is currently hosted on Koddos France, with a French IP, and the domain name is registered for a full year. (I would suspect it could be a little pricey for a domain name that has something related to Avatar)

The admin also claims that he has prepared a backup host just in case Koddos faces any downtime. As a matter of fact, if this is proven that is, having a backup host may prove to be the next leap in security for HYIPs and Autosurfs alike, because some programs collapse due to server downtimes. While those cases are far and in between, I still think the admin's intentions to keep AvatarSurf online without any hiccup is admirable and worth emulating.

Payment Processors

AvatarSurf currently accepts AlertPay, LibertyReserve, PerfectMoney and GlobalDigitalPay. These 4 payment processors make up the bulk of the payment processor landscape in the industry at the moment. SolidtrustPay has been going downhill, and StrictPay has completely dropped off the map. While GlobalDigitalPay is still a fairly new payment processor, some investors are adopting this one due to the low fees, while some just wanted to get away from LibertyReserve due to security concerns.

Nonetheless, AlertPay, which is the most popular payment processor in the industry at the moment, would prove to be a key factor in pulling in investors. I, for one, was attracted to this program primarily due to the fact that AvatarSurf accepts AlertPay.

Design and Script: Doris + GoTenks = GREAT!

The web design is created by the all-loved and all-admired Doris, who has been generating great designs for the HYIP and Autosurf industry for a while now. Most admins look to Doris for good designs, and her fame is spread throughout the whole industry.

This one's no exception as well. Many old-timers in the industries joined this program solely because the designs are from Doris! :)

The script is one of the best as well, which is the Gotenks script. This script primarily started as an autosurf script, and has been modified in the past to fit into the HYIP industry. Nonetheless, the script presents itself as a manualsurf this time, and you can identify the script fairly easily from the log-in screen and investment blocks.

Note that Gotenks script only allows investments in the blocks of $5.

Here's a look at the log-in screen, which tells you it's the popular Gotenks script.

Log-In Screen

You can also vote on major monitoring sites with a click of the MaxiVote button, which is a new feature that was recently introduced. A very nifty tool that allows members to vote aggressively for their program.

Difference between manual and auto

As the title suggests, AvatarSurf is a manual surf, which requires users to click on the "Continue button" located at the top left corner of the screen every 20 seconds. In order to claim your daily rebate, you need to surf at least 12 sites with 20 seconds on each site. For me, that's not a huge deal because it would take around 4 minutes to complete surfing.

Here's a small nugget of info: if you invest today, and you surf right away, you will only receive your first rebate the same hour next time. This essentially means it takes at least 24 hours before you can request for your first payout.

If you forget to surf, this is absolutely fine as the script will take it as a missed day, and your plan will be extended. For example, if you forget to surf for 2 days, your plan will expire in 14 days. Nonetheless, you will not be paid for the days you missed.

Misc.: Registration and Referral Commission

Registration is fairly simple: you only need to click on the Register button and fill the form. However, here's something I like about the new script -- it detects IP addresses. If you've already registered with the site, the script will automatically send out a notification that looks like the picture below to inform you that you can't register 2 accounts under the same IP address. Quite nifty to prevent self-referral.

Notification for IP address

Referral commission is 5% for members with active deposits, whereas a measly 2% is offered to those who have not deposited with AvatarSurf.

In my view, AvatarSurf possesses many of the qualities that will allow it compete with other programs. As we're seeing a downward slide in the HYIP industry, especially around this time of the year, will Autosurf make a comeback? I'm unsure, but it's definitely a possibility.
